The City of Fredericton has been proactively reducing its impact on the environment since the 1990s with initiatives such as retrofitting municipal buildings and switching to water-based traffic paint to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Now we're on the path to become a national leader in promoting Green City management. We are undertaking a number of environmental initiatives to both reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to promote and encourage everyone in the community to reduce their impact on the planet.
