What's Next?

The City of Fredericton, through its 'First to Kyoto' project has already made great strides in reducing its corporate GHG emissions by following its Corporate Action Plan for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction. Every day, we're making positive changes to the way we manage our City to reduce our impact on the planet.

However, in order to reach our Green Matters campaign goals of a 6% reduction in GHGs, we need the entire community to get involved.  Based on feedback we received from community, business and government leaders at our Climate Change Summit in April, and continued feedback from individual and corporate citizens as the Green Matters campaign unfolds, we will prepare a Community Action Plan for Greenhouse Gas Reduction that outlines how every resident, business and organization in Fredericton can help our community achieve our 6% GHG emission reduction targets.  This Green Matters website is the beginning of this journey together!
